Note on Marriage to Ellen Frances MEHEGAN: Eileen met Dan when visiting her cousin Sheila in Maymount, Friars Walk, in Cork (just around the corner from Quaker Road) - sometime around 1949. Shiela had married Dan's brother Dick in 1945. Sheila says she told Eileen, that if she was interested in Dan she would have to "move it on" from her side as he was very shy. It worked! The marriage took place in St Finbar's South parish church, Dunbar St Cork in 1953.
